Making Predictions

Connected - level 3 - Are you sure
It seemed like a good idea at the time by Bronwen Wall

Walt: I am learning to make prediction on the text by looking at the title, subtitles and the visual cues.

I predicted that this article was about rabbits being sick because I saw the text "homesick" and I also saw visual cues of many rabbit. I also predict that the book is not just about rabbits, it's about other kind of animals too.

SPORTS WITH TAMAKI COLLAGE

On Tuesday the 2th of December Tamaki College students came to Glenbrae School to teach us about sports. We splitted up into groups and we went with Ben and Seil. We went on the field to play some P.E.

First we played moonball. All we had to do is to bump off people and score a try at the goalie. Our team was called the Red Rangers, first Ben and Seil was splitting us into group of 2. I was in the number 2 group. so the ball was in the middle and we were standing at the goalie, we had to run to the ball and grab it, bump off people and score a try.We play 4 rounds of the game.

In that game we both won because they got 2 points, we got 2 points, so it was a tie. After that we had lollipops. We had 1, 1 for afterwards. We were going to play this army game, all we had to do is lie on the green grass and the last people at the back had to jump over us, 1 by 1. This game was like leap frog. All we had is a practice then we were gonna play the real one since they rang the bell. We did not have much time to play the army game because we had 4 rounds of that moon ball game and it took a long time to get a try.

We went down the down the field, to the courts because we were finished I was happy because I very liked the game that Ben and Seil made up. We said a big thank you to them.

Guess what we did in the Holidays?

Guess what we did in the holidays? , we went to the movies and to McDonald's then had KFC for dinner.

First we went to the movies and watched fast and furious 7. We had popcorn  while watching the movie and also a fizzy drink. In the story it was so sad because Paul walker died at the end of the movie. He died when his a car crashed and then it blew up. In the movie Vin Diesel was fighting the Rock. Vin diesel won the fight and became part of the fast and furious 7 gang.

After the movie we went to the McDonald because we were so hungry. My mum had enough money to buy McDonald in GI. I had a big mac and some chips and also I had another fizzy drink to finish my food. When we finished eating we went home and my whole family was so full that we didn't even have dinner because we were not even near hungry.

The next day we had kfc for dinner. My family and I had a family meal so that it would fill us up and we wouldn't wake up and have lots of breakfast and leave for school late.

I felt good about my holidays because it was a great surprise and I didn't even know what was going to happen.
